There are several sites on the internet, including Periscope.tv, Blab, and Google Hangouts, that provide apps for your smartphone or tablet. these apps allow you to have one-way broadcasts, or video conferences with one or more participants. We can use it for a one time lecture, or save the stream, for later use on sites like Youtube. They are different, and one of them might be right for you.
Periscope creates a one way audio-video broadcast. When you use the Periscope, your audience can watch via the website, or an application.
Google Hangouts was developed as a communication system to be used internally at Google for everything from telephone calls to video conferences. They tell me that Google has more options than us, but it makes for a good meeting, and is the one used for the video, below.
Blab is different than the others, in that it is integrated with Twitter, so when you start a “blab”, you can have it announced to all your Twitter followers, or choose the followers you want to be involved in your blab. It can arrange your conference attendees in a “Brady Bunch” like display on your conference screen.
